Tooreen claimed back the County Minor A Hurling Title with this spirited and entertaining final played in Ballyvary on Sunday. In a game which saw the lead change hands regularly, it was Tooreen thanks to the exploits of freetaker Joey Ganley who notched 1-7 of his sides total, who finished on top.

Players of note for Castlebar included Gary Hayes, Keith Staunton, Shane Horan and Sean Gavin (who scored 0-6), but it was the extra push late on by the East Mayo charges with goals from Enda Kenny and captain Peter Squires which helped their side squeeze through in the end.
